Starting off the year with R&B and a theme of sobriety, Teasley’s melodic January release, “Past Trauma” signals the possibility of transcending from the past to the present, in order to make way for the future. A firm believer in creative self-expression through music, his lyrics from the 2 minutes 12 second- single, “Past Trauma” evoke an undeniable need for self-reflection. “Don’t get mad at me cuz I’m being too honest. When we lay down, it feels like you’re not there. You blame everything wrong on your past trauma. Then you grab a drink faking like you don’t care.”
Teasley blew up in 2016 with his hit song, “Hit It,” a smash single with chill vibes, making it to MTV’s Top 10 dance charts in Italy. The fun-loving and vivacious singer was born in Oakland, California and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. John Teasley, professional known as Teasley is an upcoming artist with a laid-back music style. The music video to “Hit It” released in May 2016 garnered nearly 150,000 YouTube views.
Teasley sealed off 2016 with the release of his five-track debut EP “Feeling Better.” Every track is infused with feel-good beach vibes sure to put fans in a relaxing and calm mood. In 2018, Teasley found his way back up on the charts, this time, the Top 20 UK Club Charts in the company of Craig David, Calvin Harris and Liam Payne. His song, “Way Back,” earned him this spot on the charts.
Other songs in Teasley’s discography include “Lost Without You” which was released to start off the summer of 2019, “First Place,” an equally relaxing and hot summer track also released in 2019 and “Wait.” Teasley’s 2020 single, “Moonlight” gained much attention from fans and not long after, he released its accompanying music video. Dropping in December 2020, the video amassed 53,000 YouTube views. The life-loving and delectable singer is an advocate for self-love and doing what makes you feel good. He expresses this in his down-to-earth lyrics. In July 2021, Teasley releases successful track “Summer Nights.”
Teasley, an multi-talented artist is not only a chart-topping singer but is also a dancer and shows off his fancy footwork on his social media pages. His love for dance is evidently an innate fabric of his artistry which he proudly showcases in the form of Electronic Dance Music (EDM).
