Born Thandi O’Grady, the Malawian singer is now based in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada. She ventured into music inspired by artists like Adele, Rihanna, Beyoncé and Emeli Sande and a plethora of many others. Growing up with multiple cultural influences, it isn’t hard to see what drew R&B vocalist to music. The young artist’s vocals blending seamlessly with the paced instrumentals of her song is reminiscent of a Sade Adu-esque rhythm.
